What to Expect
Thunder Mountain Acres is a working farm with gentle alpacas, friendly barn cats, and livestock guardian dogs. Our experiences are relaxed and guided, designed for all ages to enjoy.
What to Bring & Wear
- Please wear closed-toe shoes suitable for walking on gravel as well as uneven or muddy ground.
- Dress for the weather- our activities go ahead rain, shine, or cold!
- Unfortunately, pets and support animals are not allowed on the farm for safety reasons.
Accessibility
The farm has gravel paths and uneven terrain. If you or someone in your group has mobility concerns, please contact us before booking so we can discuss options and ensure the best possible visit.
Booking Details
How to Book
- The easiest way to book is through our website booking system, where you can see available dates and pay securely via PayPal.
- Alternatively, you can book by emailing us directly. We'll arrange payment via PayPal, credit card or upon arrival.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
- Cancel within a week before your appointment -> Full refund
- Cancel 3-6 days before your appointment -> 50% refund
- Cancel 24 hours or less before your appointment -> No refund
- If you have extenuating circumstances (such as illness, family emergencies, or severe weather), please contact us directly to discuss options.
- Large groups and special events may require a deposit. (We must secure staff and hire extra help for these events.)
Arrival
- Parking is available onsite.
- We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment to ensure a smooth start.
- Full arrival instructions will be sent once your booking is confirmed, and again closer to your visit date.
